To ensure your Formula Pro dispenses accurately, always look up the formula setting for your new brand/type of formula at Formula Settings Finder. This ensures that the machine will deliver the formula to water ratio properly for the new formula you're using. How to Find Your New Formula Pro Powder Setting When Switching Formula Brands or Types

If you’ve switched to a new powder formula brand or type, you’ll need to update your Formula Pro Advanced with the correct setting.

Use the Formula Settings Finder

To find your new setting, visit the Formula Settings Finder at Formula Settings Finder. For the most accurate results, we recommend:

• Searching by UPC or EAN code (12 - 13 Digits) instead of by country, as the country of manufacture can sometimes be unclear.

• Using the barcode scanner on our website to quickly retrieve the correct setting for your formula.

Can’t Find Your Formula?

If your formula is not listed, you can request to have it tested. Simply fill out the form at this link, and our team will work on adding it to our database.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your Formula Pro Advanced is dispensing the perfect bottle every time!

 NOTE: Some store brands like Heb, Meijer and some others, are only sold locally. Formulas that cannot be purchased and shipped to our facility cannot be tested.  We don't suggest using the same setting as the national brand version because the settings maybe different.

The ounce size on the Formula Pro  control panel indicates water volume only. When powder is added to the water, the volume is increased, just like when you make a bottle by hand. The final volume of mixed formula is expected to be a little over the ounce amount indicated on the control panel. Please see below for some examples of the final yield.

Why Are My Bottles Coming Out Watery?

If your Formula Pro Advanced is dispensing watery bottles, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

1. Incorrect Formula Setting – Ensure you are using the correct setting for your formula. You can find the correct setting using our Formula Settings Finder.

2. Low Formula Level – If the formula in the powder container is below the "Min" line, the machine may not dispense enough powder.

3. Improper Cleaning – The funnel and the underside of the powder container should be cleaned after every 4th bottle to prevent clogs that can affect powder dispensing.

4. Missing or Misplaced Parts – Check that all components, including the locking cover and silicone scraper, are installed correctly.

How to Fix an E4 Error Code on the Formula Pro Advanced

The E4 error code indicates an issue with your machine’s water temperature sensor. Here’s what you can do to try and resolve it:

1. Reset the Sensor – Press and hold the button on the far right of the Control Panel for 10 seconds to reset the sensor.

2. Test the Machine – After resetting, make another bottle and check if the E4 error returns.

What If the Error Persists?

• If the E4 error code does not return, your machine is working properly again.

• If the E4 error does return, this indicates a more serious issue that requires assistance from our Customer Care Team.

How to Prevent the E4 Error in the Future

To reduce the chances of this error occurring again, we recommend lowering the temperature to room temperature in your machine. However, please note that this will result in bottles being dispensed at room temperature rather than warmed.

We strongly discourage you from making your own homemade formula. Health experts, pediatricians and the AAP strongly discourage this practice because it may not be safe for your baby nor deliver the proper nutrition that your baby needs. This article from the AAP explains why:

Additionally, we couldn't provide you a setting for the Formula Pro Advanced because we wouldn't know the specific formula to water ratio for your homemade formula mixture.

How Do I Prevent Mold from Growing in the Baby Brezza Formula Pro?

Proper maintenance and regular cleaning are essential to keeping your Formula Pro Advanced clean and free from mold. Here are some key steps to follow:

1. Follow Regular Cleaning Guidelines – Always clean the machine as recommended in the instruction manual to prevent buildup of formula residue.

2. Be Careful When Pouring Formula – After refilling the powder container, check for any spilled formula, especially in the area next to the water tank, and wipe it away with a damp cloth.

3. Ensure All Parts Are Completely Dry – After washing, make sure all parts of the powder container are fully dry before reassembling to prevent moisture buildup, which can lead to mold growth.

By following these steps, you can prevent mold from forming and keep your Formula Pro Advanced in optimal condition.

Long Term Storage Instructions

It is extremely important to clean the machine and remove all formula powder residue before storage.

If you’re going to store your Formula Pro® Advanced for later use, or will not use it for a while, please follow the instructions below:

1. Remove the powder container parts, funnel, funnel cover, drip tray and water tank from the base.

2. Wipe the base with a clean damp cloth and make sure to remove any and all formula residue. Dry the base well.

3. Empty the powder container, wash all powder container parts, dry thoroughly, reassemble, & reinstall on the base.

4. Follow the Monthly Descaling Instructions shown below, steps 1-7 only. Do not remove or refill the water tank after step 7.

5. Now place a cup to catch 10oz/300ml water under the funnel, then press & hold the “water only” button for 5 seconds. Water will dispense continuously until the machine is completely empty, then stop automatically.
6. Additionally, you can unplug the unit, turn the machine upside down over a sink while keeping the water tank inserted. This will allow air to flow into the unit and allow for the water to come out the air vent. 

7. Remove the funnel, funnel cover and water tank, dry them both thoroughly and reinstall them on the machine.

8. Your machine is now ready for storage. Pack the machine in its box or enclose it in a bag to keep it dust free.

 

Monthly Descaling Instructions

You can leave the formula powder in the powder tank during the descaling process.

To prevent mineral scale on the water heater inside your Baby Brezza Formula Pro® Advanced, follow these easy steps:

1. Remove the water tank, empty it and fill it with 20oz/600ml distilled vinegar & 20oz/600ml of purified water.

2. Place the water tank on the base of the machine & place a cup larger than 10oz/300ml under the funnel.

3. Select “10oz/300ml” with the “oz/ml” button, then press the “water only” button to dispense.

4. Empty the cup, place back under the funnel, then press the “water only” button again to dispense another 10oz/300ml.

5. Now unplug the machine, remove the water tank, and empty it. Let the machine sit for 4 hours.

6. Wash, rinse and fill the water tank to the max line with purified water, then place it back on the base.

7. Plug in the machine, place a cup to catch 10oz/300ml water and use the “water only” button to run a 10oz/300ml cycle. Dispose of the water dispensed in the cup and then repeat this step to run the entire tank of purified water through the machine. When the “Low Water” indicator turns on, you’re done rinsing.

8. Refill the water tank with purified water and return to normal use

If you are using tap water in our machine, we recommend descaling your machine every 30 days. This will keep the heating element working smoothly. 

1. We recommend using regional support  to remove mineral scale from your Formula Pro Advanced and extend the appliance’s useful life. You can also use distilled white vinegar.  To clean & descale, hand-wash all components with lukewarm water and mild soap.

2. Make sure all parts are dry and reassemble machine, leaving powder container completely empty.

3. Fill the water tank with 20oz of Distilled Water and run a 10oz cycle.

4. Add Baby Brezza Descaler Liquid, or a cup of distilled white vinegar inside the water tank and a cup of distilled water and run another 10oz cycle.

5. Unplug the machine and allow it to sit for 4 hours. 

6. Discard remaining descaler liquid or vinegar/water solution, and wash tank with mild soap and water, and refill water tank completely with fresh water. 

7. Continue to run another 10oz water only cycles to rinse out internal tubes of any vinegar residue until the low water display icon appears.

No, we do not recommend mixing two formula brands or types in the Formula Pro Advanced.

Each formula brand and type has a specific powder-to-water ratio, and the Formula Pro is calibrated to dispense the correct amount of formula based on these unique settings.

If two formulas are combined, the machine may not dispense the correct ratio, which could affect the consistency and nutrition of the prepared bottle.

The Baby Brezza Formula Pro can’t be used for breast milk, only to make formula bottles. Even freeze dried breast milk like milkify, or milk by mom cannot be used on our formula pro advanced.

Here’s why:

1. Testing and Quality Assurance: To ensure accuracy and safety, each formula setting in our device is tested extensively with readily available commercial formula powders. Freeze dried Breastmilk, being a natural product with unique characteristics, falls outside the scope of what we can reliably test and standardize.
2. Variability of Breastmilk Composition: The consistency of freeze dried breastmilk can vary significantly due to factors such as storage method, temperature, and individual production. These variables make it difficult to create a universal setting that would work effectively for all situations.

Do I Need to Clean the Formula Pro Advanced Funnel After Every 4th Bottle?

Yes, it is important to clean the funnel after every 4th bottle or whenever the "Clean Funnel" indicator light turns on. Formula tends to clump when mixed with water, and if the funnel isn't cleaned regularly, formula buildup can occur. This buildup can affect the accuracy of the formula dispensing process, as it may interfere with how much formula drops from the powder container into the mixing funnel.

To maintain your Formula Pro Advanced’s accuracy:

1. Clean the Funnel – After every 4th bottle, remove the funnel and clean the underside of the powder container to prevent any buildup.

2. Use a Spare Funnel – To make the process easier, consider purchasing a spare funnel. This way, you can replace the used funnel with a clean one while the dirty one is being cleaned.

Does the Baby Brezza Formula Pro Sterilize the Water?

No, the Baby Brezza Formula Pro does not sterilize the water. To ensure the water is free from any bacteria or other harmful substances, we recommend one of the following options:

1. Boil the Water – Boil the water and allow it to cool before using it with your Formula Pro. This will help kill off any bacteria.

2. Use Purified Water – Alternatively, you can use water that is 100% free of bacteria, viruses, mold, minerals, and other toxins.

How Often Does the Water Need to Be Changed in the Baby Brezza Sterilizer?

The water needs to be changed before each sterilization cycle because the Baby Brezza Sterilizer boils off most of the water during operation.

• Sterilizer Dryer: Requires 4 ounces of water per cycle.

• Sterilizer Dryer Advanced: Requires 5.5 ounces of water per cycle.

• Superfast Sterilizer Dryer: Requires 4 ounces of water per cycle (use the water measuring cup included).

What Does a Red Screen Mean on My Sterilizer Dryer?

A red screen on your Sterilizer Dryer indicates that there isn’t enough water on the heater plate for the appliance to operate correctly. This can happen if:

1. Insufficient water was added at the start of the sterilization process, or

2. The appliance used up all the water before the 8-minute sterilization cycle was completed.

How to Fix It:

1. Allow the Sterilizer Dryer to fully cool down.

2. Add 4 ounces of water to the heater plate.

3. Restart the Sterilizer Dryer.

Sterilizer Dryer – Bottles Not Drying Properly / Air Not Getting Hot

If your Baby Brezza Sterilizer Dryer is no longer blowing warm air and your bottles are still wet after a drying cycle, there are a few common causes that may be affecting its performance.

Possible Cause:

Water may have entered the drying vent, which can prevent the heating element from functioning properly. This usually happens when:

• Water is accidentally poured toward the vent during draining.

• The heating plate is dirty or has mineral buildup, causing boiling water to bubble over into the vent during use.

What You Can Do:

1. Clean the Heating Plate:

   • Make sure the heating plate is free of scale or residue.

How Many Volts is the Baby Brezza Corded Machines? Can This Appliance Be Used Outside the US?

All Baby Brezza machines sold in the USA are designed to operate on 120 volts and come with a standard North American plug. Using our Baby Brezza machines with any voltage higher than 120V or with a different frequency (hertz) than that of North America may permanently damage the unit.

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing white residue or a haze on your bottles after washing. Below we have listed some possible reasons for this occurrence and some solutions. 

• Excessive Detergent Tablets: The white residue may be the result of using too much detergent tablets in the wash cycle. We recommend using only 1 Baby Brezza detergent tablet, as excessive soap can leave behind a residue.
• Hard Water Deposits: Another possible cause of the white residue is hard water deposits. Hard water contains minerals that can accumulate on the bottles and leave behind a white film. Consider using distilled water if you are in an area with high mineral content in your water.

If you notice that your Bottle Washer Pro is slowly accumulating water in the sump (the base of the unit) even when it hasn't been recently used, you're likely experiencing a valve obstruction issue. This situation is typically caused by mineral buildup, particularly if you're using hard water in your machine.

⚠️ What’s Happening?

The clean water tank is connected to the sump via some tubes and a control valve. This valve opens during a wash cycle to allow water to flow into the system, but should remain tightly closed when the machine is idle.

If water is trickling into the sump on its own, it's likely that:

• The valve is partially stuck open due to mineral deposits or debris, especially calcium or lime from hard water.

• Over time, this causes a slow but steady leak from the clean water tank into the sump.

✅ How to Fix It: Descaling the System

You can fix this issue by performing a manual descale, which will clean the valve and eliminate mineral buildup.

Step-by-Step Descaling Instructions:

1. Prepare a Descaling Solution
   Mix equal parts distilled white vinegar and water. You can also use Baby Brezza’s official descaling tablets if preferred.

2. Empty the Clean Water Tank
   Remove the tank and pour out any remaining water.

3. Add the Solution to the Clean Water Tank
   Fill the tank with your vinegar and water mixture.

   1. If using descaling tablets, fill the clean water tank with hot water to allow the descaling tablet to dissolve.

4. Place the Tank Back on the Machine
   You may notice the solution begins slowly dripping into the sump—this is expected.

5. Run a wash cycle only (19 Minutes)
    This process helps dissolve any mineral buildup that may be preventing the valve from sealing properly.

6. Discard the Solution
   Once the tank is mostly empty, discard any remaining solution and rinse the tank thoroughly.

7. Fill with Fresh Water
   Fill the tank with clean water and see if that resolves the issue.

All troubleshooting should begin with unplugging the machine and allowing 15 minutes to pass. Please see a breakdown of the error codes below. 

• E1: If you receive this error, please unplug the machine and allow 15 minutes for the machine to remain unplugged. You can then plug in your machine and reattempt. If the issue persists, please contact our Customer Care team.  
• E4: This error means that there was an issue with the detection of the magnet with the reed switch. To troubleshoot this error, please make sure that your machine is descaled and clean so that the floating magnet is free to move. Once cleaned, make sure that the the waste water tank is empty, and the clean water tank is slightly above the fill line and restart your machine. If you receive any other error, please follow the recommendation for the error received.  If the issue persists, please contact our customer care team. 
• E5: This error means that there is water remaining in the sump. To troubleshoot this error, you need to empty all the water in the sump. You can do this by holding down the wash mode & Sterilize Dry button for approximately 7 seconds. This will activate the discharge pump (DC will display on the LCD panel) and remove any water from the waste tank. 
• E8: If you receive this error, it means the discharge pump was on for more than 30 seconds. Please power cycle the machine. Upon turning the machine back on, if you receive any other error, please follow the instructions to clear that error out. 
• H2o: This error can mean two things. 
  • One: Not enough water is available to complete the sterilization cycle. To troubleshoot, you can add more water to the clean water tank and restart the sterilization cycle. 
  • Two: There is mineral build up on the heating plate and it needs to be descaled to remove any buildup.

The Bottle Washer only works with Baby Brezza Detergent Tablets to ensure the machine works properly. The reason is that the bottle washer only needs a tiny amount of detergent – using more detergent than this will cause too much foaming during the wash cycle and leave a detergent residue on the products inside. This amount is so tiny that it’s difficult to measure from a traditional household dishwasher powder or liquid detergent package. Additionally, traditional household dishwasher pods have way too much detergent.

If you plan to stop using your Bottle Washer Pro for several weeks or longer, we recommend following the steps below to help extend the life of your appliance and ensure it’s ready for use when you return:

Remove All Items
Take out all bottles and accessories from the washer.

Run a Descaling Cycle
Perform a full descaling using either Baby Brezza Descaling Tablets or a distilled white vinegar cycle to remove mineral buildup from the internal components. This helps protect the internal motors and maintains long-term performance. Fully Drain the Machine
Once descaling is complete, press and hold the Wash Mode and Sterilize/Dry buttons for 7 seconds. This activates the discharge pump and removes all remaining water from the sump and drain lines.

Empty All Tanks
Completely empty both the clean water tank and the dirty water tank. Ensure both tanks are fully dry before storing.

Wipe Down the Interior & Exterior
Use a soft cloth to remove any moisture from the inside surfaces, spray arms, and the lid. Leave the lid slightly open for 1–2 hours to allow the interior to fully air dry.

Store in a Cool, Dry Location
Place the machine in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight, humidity, or extreme temperatures.

Avoid Sealing the Machine in Plastic
Do not store the appliance in sealed plastic bags or airtight containers. Covering the unit with a soft towel or dust cloth is recommended. If you still have the original packaging, you may store the machine in it for added protection.

2. LCD Display Not Functioning:

1. Place the Intake Filter

• Begin by placing the Intake Filter at the bottom of the sump inside the base of the unit.

2. Install the Bottom Spray Jets

• Line up the rib on the Bottom Spray Jets with the slot on the hole in the base.

• Push the Bottom Spray Jets firmly all the way down into the base until secure.

3. Add the Bottom Rack

• Position the Bottom Rack over the Bottom Spray Jets on the base.

4. Attach the Center Tube

• Fit the Center Tube onto the Bottom Spray Jets.

  • Use the short tube for shorter bottles.

  • Use the tall tube for taller bottles.

5. Install the Top Spray Jets

• Line up the rib inside the Top Spray Jets with the Center Tube.

• Push the Top Spray Jets all the way down onto the tube.

6. Add the Top Rack

• Place the Top Rack on top of the Top Spray Jets.

• Make sure the straight edge of the Top Rack is facing the back of the machine.

• The Clean Water Tank can be lifted by its handle.
